The Perfect Pokémon Tales: Z-A Mega Evolution Based on Your Astrological Sign
This comeback of Super Forms in Pokémon Legends: Z-A has ignited widespread enthusiasm within the fandom. From the one-by-one reveal of fresh additions ahead of the game's launch, to players forming firm views on the full roster of new Megas, there's plenty for enthusiasts to look forward to.
Given many of the Super Forms showcasing distinctive appearances that emphasize their traits, one idea came to mind: What's the best way to link this with zodiac signs? The following is based on a mix of vibes, common zodiac traits, and personal experience.
The Ram – Super Camerupt
Honestly, Houndoom was almost chosen for Aries, as both are the Super Form and astrological sign that inspire the greatest apprehension. But, a Mega Houndoom comes across as constantly angry, which doesn't match the Aries vibe, renowned for being fun, light-hearted, and spontaneous. This makes Aries far more similar to Mega Camerupt, which solely spews lava when provoked. Stay on the good side of both and benefit from a strong partner; if you cross them, prepare to get burned.
Taurus – Mega Heracross
Much like a loyal Taurus, the steadfast Heracross, both in its regular and Mega form, has aided numerous players in Legends: Z-A. Though dependable, both the Pokémon and a Bull are still Fighting types, and – whether it's their companion or a strong opinion – will defend their position to the end. What about Mega Heracross that recalls most of my Bull-sign companions, however, is its unabashed love of snacks. Several past Pokédex entries mention their fondness for tasty sap and how it employs its appendage to hoard it everything, which is pure Taurus energy.
Gemini – Super Medicham
Look at this absolute queen. You cannot convince me this Pokémon is not the soul of every party, providing an constant stream of chatter to those who wants to hear. Just like an enrapturing, gregarious Twins, it's incredibly easy to imagine Super Medicham captivating an entire Wild Zone with their tales. Medicham’s Pokédex entry also states its ability to foresee an enemy’s future actions, which seems quite similar to a people-smart Twins.
The Crab – Super Manectric
The Crab is widely regarded as the most emotional sign of the zodiac, a intense symbol known for frequently becoming wrapped up in their feelings. Per the official info, Mega Evolution charges the Pokémon with a “tremendous quantity of energy, but it's excessive for this Pokémon to completely manage,” which sounds a lot like a typical Crab crash-out. This Pokémon is also recognized for its capability to create a thundercloud over its own self – and if there’s one thing a Crab is likely to do, it’s rain on their own parade.
The Lion – Mega Starmie
Oh, did you think I was planning to pick Pyroar for the king of the stars? Besides the fact that it would be far too on the nose, Leo is obviously Mega Starmie, the star whose legs just became an internet sensation for being extremely fabulous (or terrifying, based on your taste). Fans couldn’t look away from the purple starfish, and that’s precisely the same vibe a Leo offers to the scene. Starmie is also rumored to be broadcasting radio waves from its center out into space, and it’s just like a Leo to be putting on a show, even if for extraterrestrials.
Virgo – Super Victreebel
The ever-prepared and perpetually-anxious Virgo is perfectly encapsulated in Super Victreebel, the Super Form with perpetual digestive issues. The zodiac symbol known for being charmingly critical is clearly mirrored across this creature's whole evolutionary chain, from a perpetually shocked face like a Virgo when you inform them you lack a 401(k), to its inverted visage that’s just like the symbol a Virgo posts to the chatroom when all says they want to “go with the flow” instead of creating a strategy.
Libra – Mega Audino
Look at this gentle, empathetic being, who employs the sensors on its auditory organs to tell how others are emotionally by their heartbeat. Always empathetic – occasionally to a fault – and striving to keep the harmony, there are numerous Libras who would likely appreciate Mega Audino’s skills. Though, let’s be honest, it would probably just make them worry more about others.
Scorpio – Super Banette
This Ghost-type is a Pokémon with a unexpectedly tragic backstory: Discarded as a toy, it gained sentient through pure hatred and swore retribution on its previous caretaker. Per the official info, Mega Evolution, “enhances its vindictiveness.” That sounds precisely like many conversations I’ve had with my intense Scorpio friends. A Scorpio adores karma and retribution, making them the ideal pair with Super Banette.
The Archer – Mega Hawlucha
Each Mega Hawlucha and Sagittarians are constantly staging a show. As a Sagittarius personally, the number of times I’ve referred to myself some variation of a “playful little jester” is innumerable. The showiest and most attention-seeking Super Form, its Pokédex entry even notes how it “poses to show off its power.” I would do the very same thing if I had some kind of Mega evolved form, making Super Hawlucha the most fitting Archer counterpart I can imagine.
The Goat – Super Absol
Were you aware that a Super Absol has the power to predict disasters in advance? That gives the exact same energy as a Capricorn, who tends to always believe they’re correct. Interestingly, similar to a visionary Super Absol, they often are. It’s also the absolute initial Super Form that players meet in Legends: Z-A – typical of a Goat to get in on the ground floor of the Mega trend.
Aquarius – Mega Chandelure
Detached air sign Water Bearer is possibly the non-flame placement that is closest to a fire sign – its sister sign is the Lion, and there are numerous memes about Sagittarius and Water Bearer being chaotic partners in crime. Mega Chandelure’s double Ghost/Fire typing matches perfectly with this, and the Super Form's general intimidating aura is also very Water Bearer. If you hadn't yet persuaded, the Mega’s Pokédex entry says it “absorbs hatred and converts it into strength.” If that doesn’t perfectly {encaps
