Salah Offers Statement to Squad, Reveals Curtis Jones

Curtis Jones has revealed that Salah expressed regret to the team following the uproar from his recent interview.

What Happened

He was omitted from a vital match following voicing frustrations and claiming his rapport with Arne Slot had deteriorated.

“Salah is an individual and he can say his own stuff,” Jones revealed. “He said sorry to the group and was like: ‘If I’ve affected anybody, please accept my apology.’”

The manager has chosen not to reveal on whether he got an explanation from the veteran striker.

Team Unity

He emphasized that the squad's reaction stayed normal. “He was his usual self, his demeanour was positive and it was business as usual,” Jones added.

He also noted that a competitor wanting to play is a positive trait. “It's clear there are specific approaches you can handle situations,” he said. “However, if a player is content to just not start, then I think that’s concerning.”

On-Field Response

The team's performance have remained strong in the period after the situation. Jones believes the outburst were not designed to cause disruption.

“When there’s been any sort of anger, the source has been from a desire to win,” the midfielder stated. “That chapter is closed and we’re gelling well as a team, getting results and on a positive run.”
